Holiday Popups in Nashville
The holidays are upon us! And if you visited Nashville earlier this season you may have seen the festive downtown decor as early as Thanksgiving.
One stroll down Broadway, and you will quickly spot a favorite activity of Nashvillians and visitors alike. Of course, we are talking about the holiday-themed Pop-up bars.
With their Insta-worthy photo opps and epic menu choices… there is only one question to ask. And that is – which one should you try first? Here are Joe’s top picks for this season’s holiday-themed hangouts.
1. Camp Bobby @ The Bobby Hotel
While the entire bar may not be Christmas themed and more “holiday, campfire” vibes, there is no denying the uniqueness that is Camp Bobby. Each igloo is designed with 70’s inspired fits and serves up to 6 people. This winter experience can either be reserved in advance or the campfire (non-igloo) sections are first-come first-serve. The Bobby is one of Nashville’s most popular holiday pop-ups. So for an incredible night out, sipping hot cocoa amidst the Nashville skyline, you check this one out.
2. The Hidden Bar @ The Noelle
Ok, it should be no secret by now that The Hidden Bar is a Joe Nashville favorite. This secret bar is hidden downstairs in the Noelle hotel. Take the elevator or stairs and look for the green door labeled “storage.” Inside you will find the coziest bar with limited seating and holiday themed decor and cocktails. This years holiday theme? Christmas Vacation. Joe tip: Go early (before 6pm) for the shortest wait time. Hidden bar is definitely one of the top speakeasies in Nashville year-round, with extra serotonin during the Christmas season.
3. Layered Cake on 3rd
Holiday decor that takes the cake. 🍰 See what we did there?
Layer Cake Nashville is a multi-layered, choose-your-own adventure, dining experience. It has four levels to choose from – with each one decked out with holiday themed decor, cocktails, and events.
Located on 3rd avenue, we love that they offer something “different” right in the heart of downtown. Aside from the seasonal drinks, they are also doing holiday movie nights on the roof every Tuesday (6pm & 9pm). Kids are welcome during dining hour.
4. Buddy’s Bar @ Dream Hotel
Dream Nashville went all out this year at their Parlour Bar, with the Buddy Bar.  This elf-themed holiday pop-up is located just off of the lobby and offers a sort of elevated, sit-drink-and-chill Nashville experience. We love the location of this bar, being walking distance to other favorites yet far enough to be outside the Broadway crowds. It offers an ambiance similar to the Hidden Bar and also located in a historical district for all the history-buffs in the group. Cocktails and Bites are all named hilarious movie throwbacks like the Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins, and the You Smell Like Beef And Cheese charcuterie board. Try the “World’s Best Coffee” for a sip of holiday cheer!
There you have it! Four epic holiday pop-ups to get you in the holiday spirit this season. From trendy, to photo opps, best drinks, and best “hidden” spot. For a full list of pop up bars and speakeasies, we recommend this resource from Visit Music City.
