1. Downtown
Popular For: Music, Entertainment, Nightlife, Lodging, Sports, and Dining

Nashville’s “Broadway” is the city’s major attraction. It’s right in the middle of NashVegas, where the Honky Tonks keep their neon signs shining day and night. While Broadway is the heart of Nashville’s nightlife, the city’s most famous sights are located just to the north and south. Even though there are more hotels than residences in this part of Nashville, you can still easily reach the rest of the city on foot from anywhere in the region.

2. Germantown

Laborers were needed to build the new government buildings when Nashville became the state capitol in 1843. So, the first suburb of Nashville was built by German immigrants from Cincinnati. Walkable sidewalks connect restaurants, boutiques, and salons to residential neighborhoods.

4. The Gulch

The Gulch is one of the newest areas of Nashville. It has quickly become a popular destination due to its hip atmosphere and a wide variety of dining options, nightlife, and shopping venues. Some tourists love to visit Thompson Hotel to enjoy different cocktails while standing on the rooftop, enjoying the most incredible view of the city.
You may notice the abundance of high-rise residential complexes in The Gulch, making it ideal for young professionals. Individuals who value a car-free way of life will love The Gulch as every place to enjoy is just within a short walking distance.

- Safety- One of the safest places in town, this spot is perfect for tourists and a great place to stay while you are on vacation. Crime rate is very low.
5. 12 South
Popular For: Shopping, Bars, and Food

12 South is a mile-long strip of restaurants, shops, and bars, which has become an excellent resort for tippling tourists and boozy bachelorettes from Downtown. Inside fun! They’re generally better behaved outside of the debaucherous Downtown.
For the residency at 12 South, you can enjoy exclusive accommodation outside the 12th Avenue corridor. There are many different options for lodging as well. You can also find a dense collection of fun boutiques. Reese Witherspoon, a native of Nashville, founded her Draper James Southern lifestyle boutique in 2015. Since then, it has been a popular selfie spot.

- Hotels- Surprisingly, there are not a lot of hotels in this area; They are located closer to the center of Nashville. So, an Airbnb will probably be the way to go here.
- Atmosphere- Hungry, you’re at the right spot. There are restaurants everywhere… and they are all within walking distance.
- Safety- With the moderately busy streets and lovely neighborhoods nearby, there are not many safety concerns. Always be cautious no matter where you are though. Lock your doors at night and never get into a ride-share without verifying it’s the right person.
